About our event
Talking with people can be tough: especially when the conversation gets tricky!
If you’ve ever walked away from a discussion wishing you’d said things differently, you’re not alone. The good news? Communication can be learned.
Megan will share her Four Perfect Formulas for Communication: simple, practical tools you can start using right away to feel more confident and compassionate in every conversation.

We’ll explore:
1. Clear Communication – say what you mean and feel without confusion
2. Accountable Communication – take ownership without blame
3. The FIR Model of Feedback – give feedback that builds, not breaks
4. The Debrief Model – process difficult moments (because bad things happen to good people)

These formulas won’t turn you into a counsellor, but they will help you become a more empathic, effective, and grounded leader.
Come along, learn, laugh, and leave with communication tools you’ll use for life.

About our speaker

Megan Bayliss is a professional communicator and a Mental Health Accredited Social Worker in the final throes of her PhD.

In her down to earth and humorous lunch time chat with us, she will provide you four communication formulas to use again and again. These formulas are the gold that help you develop expert listening and responding skills.

Published cross-genre, Megan’s academic interest lies in how people self-educate through bibliotherapy and psychoeducation to change their lives and the lives of those around them.

A TEDx and Pecha Kucha speaker, Megan also creates psychoeducative digital content to reach people who may otherwise never speak to a mental health professional.

Megan specializes in professional supervision and burn-out prevention coaching to rural and remote Social Workers because she also has lived and worked remotely, from Papua New Guinea, to Cape York Peninsula, to Norfolk Island and now in Nhulunbuy, N.T.
