Last week, we brought over 90 stakeholders from industry, government and First Nations organisations together in Cairns. Over the week, we held a number of different events, activities and sessions to encourage networking, sharing of information, and collaboration amongst the different stakeholders.

Research shows that networks and partnerships not only enrich our work, but also reduce feelings of isolation, result in improved performance and outcomes, and support growth and development of new skills and knowledge.

It was wonderful to see so many people actively engaged in activities and making valuable connections as we strengthen the national biosecurity system through improved people capacity, knowledge brokering, responsiveness, cultural awareness, communications, partnerships, and shared knowledge.
