Kendra’s presentation was not about giving legal advice (she can’t), but rather about helping to educate us on some common issues she is seeing – and ways that we might be able to avoid them.
So what were the key takeaways?
• Secret recordings are happening. How can you avoid it? You can’t, so always expect that you may be being recorded and behave accordingly!
• There is a definition of bullying – and it is important to know it and understand it.
• Be willing to have difficult conversations. Kendra believes that half (or more) or the legal issues she is involved in could be avoided if people had been willing to have difficult conversations when the issues arose, rather than ignoring it, hoping it will resolve itself, or expecting the legal process to ‘fix’ it.
