Breakfast with Vicki O’Halloran

We were very fortunate to have Her Honour, Vicki O’Halloran, join us for today’s Women’s Leadership Network session. Vicki is exceptional, with a very long list of astonishing accomplishments to her name, but, the most notable (by her own admission), her most valuable role is as a mother to her daughter, Coco. It is a wonderful reminder of the valuable place we can all play in nurturing those around us. Vicki spoke about her own parents providing support, reassurance, love, and positivity to her as a child and the impact it had on her life. It gave me pause to think about how vital role we can all play in bolstering, building up, and encouraging others so they can strive to be the best version of themselves.

Vicki was the first ever speaker for the Women’s Network when it first started about seven years ago. It has been extraordinary to share this journey with you, Vicki.

Vicki was introduced by the wonderful, Sonu Yadav, who is both a brilliant scientist and a fabulous person as well. Sonu shared her professional journey (apparently involving a lot of animal poo!) to become he wonderful scientist she is today. She is a motivation for all of us – and, as a Superstar of STEM, she is inspiring the next generation of female scientists.
