JCU Showcase

Following the Northern Australia Biosecurity Strategy (NABS) Roundtable on 16 October, it was fantastic to see stakeholders from industry, government, and research come together at the Centre for Tropical Biosecurity Showcase at James Cook University (JCU) on 17 October.

The highlight was seeing collaboration in action. This partnership between JCU and NABS is driving innovative, practical solutions for tropical plant biosecurity, connecting researchers, industry partners, and communities to tackle emerging risks together.

Events like these demonstrate how critical strong partnerships and shared knowledge are for protecting Northern Australia’s agriculture, ecosystems, and economy… and reinforce the value of working collectively to detect, manage, and prevent biosecurity threats.
