Lunch with Leaders session with Megan Bayliss was a powerful reminder that communication is not just about words — it is about presence, intention, and self-awareness.

The key messages for me were simple:

  • How we think shapes how we feel, how we behave, and ultimately how we lead.
  • Effective communication begins before we speak — in how we turn up, how we listen, and the mindset we bring into conversations.
  • When we lead from awareness rather than reaction, we create space for clarity, accountability, and trust.

Megan also reinforced the importance of investing in personal development. Leadership is strengthened when we understand our own values, responses, and boundaries. From that foundation, we can move towards more wholehearted, authentic leadership.

The session was a timely reminder that these are skills we can all develop — and that better communication leads to better outcomes, both professionally and personally.
