Technical workshops

Anima Co. in conjunction with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry organised 3 technical workshops aimed at upskilling diagnosticians from across northern Australia. The workshops covered nematodes, mealybugs, and bivalves. The intent was to address key risk areas in diagnostics and support development and learning of our experts in these critical groups.

We received fantastic feedback from these workshops, with 100% of participants indicating they would recommend the training to others if it was run again in the future – and 100% of participants indicating that the networking elements of the training were highly valuable as well!

Putting resources into upskilling our northern diagnosticians is important for ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of our northern, and national, biosecurity systems. It was a pleasure to bring these individuals together – to build their knowledge, confidence, and skills, and to provide them with the opportunity to meet others who they can continue to learn from and share their experiences and expertise with.
